Announcements – Week of January 23rd
A few updates and reminders for you:
1) Please join Donna Henderson and Kirsten Verdi as they host a PTA brainstorming session next Wednesday, February 1st. This session will be aimed at talking about how to best welcome new families to OES going forward. The meeting will be at 9:15am at Panera Bread. It will be informal and kids are welcome. Please Email Donna (drdonnahenderson@gmail.com) if you will plan on attending.
2) Don’t miss your opportunity to participate in the 3rd Annual Jack and Jill Montgomery County MD Chapter Spelling Bee. This event is open to Montgomery County residents in grades 1 through 5. Date: Sat, 2/25/12, 1-5pm. The location is Georgetown Prep School, Figge Theatre, 10900 Rockville Pike, North Bethesda 20852. 3) A big thanks to Vicky Aceto and all the volunteers and participating families who helped made last Friday’s PTA Bingo Night a huge success! This event alone brought in over $800 that will go right
back to your children’s classrooms, assemblies, field trips and overall development…fantastic!
4) Don’t forget: this Friday night is a chance to get out and see some friends, tire out the kids, and have some fun: join us at Pump It Up in Gaithersburg from 6:30-8:30pm. Cost of admission is $10/child.

5) Next Monday night (January 30th) will be our first OES Carnival Meeting at 7pm in the Media Center. Please come if you are able to help with this year’s PTA Sponsored Carnival (Sat, March 24th). No
experience (at all!) necessary and you can help with pre-Carnival legwork, onsite help the day of, and/or set-up the day before. Thanks for considering…we need all the support we can get!
