Please contact Nicole Connell (NBConnell@verizon.net) if you are able to volunteer THIS Tuesday, 9/27/11.  Parent help is needed from 9:30 -12:30 p.m. (3 people or multiple people in one hour shifts) and from 1:30-3:00 p.m. (2 people). Picture Day is Coming Up! Blanton Studios will be coming to OES on Tuesday, September 27th.  A virtual flier regarding Picture Day and available packages is viewable on the PTA website.  

Here’s some interesting information from Mary Nowotny about OES’s easiest fundraiser: register at Safeway/Giant/Harris Teeter and do NOTHING MORE than the shopping you are already doing. Last year we earned $2,859.34 with 127 registrations. We have at least 500 families at OES; I know we can do even better!!! The PTA Cultural Arts Committee is forming now…join today!  What does the Cultural Arts Committee do? We select worthwhile performances to bring to our school for K through 5 assemblies throughout the year. A big thanks to everyone who ordered from Dominos Pizza on Thursday night! Total proceeds were $163.78…this is a great start toward the $2,500 annual goal! Our next evening event will be a Restaurant Night at Urban BBQ on Thursday, September 28th. More details to come.
